From the meeting minutes of the James E. Coffey Post 3, held on 2 May 1978.

The Senior Vice Commander for 1977-78, Donald N. Desrosiers, (pictured) was elected uncontested to ascend to the position of commander of the James E. Coffey Post 3 at elections held at the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 2nd, 1978. He succeeds Ernest Ledoux who will run for NH Dept. Commander at the upcoming convention to be held in Keene on June 24-26.

Gary Johnson ascended uncontested from the position of Jr. Vice to Senior Vice Commander. The only contested office was for Jr. Vice Commander. The result of the vote for the 3 nominees were: John Rist, 45 votes; John Paquette, 23 votes; Don Saylor, 25 votes. Rist was elected.
