NASHUA TELEGRAPH, THURSDAY, AUGUST 17, 1972

Nashua Coffey Post was crowned the New Hampshire State Junior American Legion Baseball Champion last night after downing Manchester Post 79, 10-8, at Holman Stadium in Nashua.
The win was the second in two nights for Nashua over the Queen City club and gave Coffey Post the right to represent the Granite State in the New England Regionals which begin next week in Keene.
Defense was again the key to the local post's success. Two fine relief performances were turned in by Bob Keefe and Dick Rodgers, Rodgers doing his job for the second straight night.
All Nashua players were involved offensively with Foltz and Maconi leading the hit parade.
Both teams started the pitchers they had used when the two teams met in the opening round last Saturday. Neither Nashua's Sinicropi, nor Manchester's Puflisi was as sharp as in that first game though, and Nashua's defense proved to be the winning combination.
