" Installation of officers of the American Legion Coffey Post and auxiliary took place last night in a ceremony held at the AL home by officers of District No. 2 of the American Legion headed by Donald Parkhurst, district commander. Assisting him were Paul Werner of New Boston, Ted Bedard and Richard Montgomery both of Brookline, Leo Pelerin of Wilton, Arthur Huppe of Manchester, Gladys Newhall of Antrim and Veiko Ypya of Wilton.

Among guests present were Fred Latour, VFW commander; Elias Decoteaux, DAV past commander; Mayor and Mrs. Marion J. Vagge, Gold Star Mothers, past officers and members of the local auxiliary.

Corsages to all outgoing and incoming auxiliary officers were presented by Mrs. Helen Twiss, past president of Unit 3.

Charles A. Lindsay was installed by proxy as adjutant of the post by the installing suite. The retiring commander, Emile Auclair, was presented with a pen by the incoming commander, Donald Ellingwood.

Lunch was served to the large gathering by auxiliary members headed by Mrs. Twiss, Bertha Nash, Mabel Johnson, Marie Paquette, Marion Lecius and Anna Clemons.

New post officers for 1960-1961 include:

Junior Vice Commander: Patrick H. Collins.

Assistant Trust Officer: Paul O'Neil.
Sergeant At Arms: Philippe Parent.
Executive Committee: Paul A. Moran, Andrew Bernard, Francis C. O'Neil."
