At the first regular meeting after being elected the new Post 3 Historian, Frederick M. Clemons P.C. made the following report.
"A post history covering the first forty years of the James E. Coffey Post #3 was submitted last year by David P. Stevens then post historian. The top state history award and national honorable mention was received for this effort.
Your historian feels that a second volume for the post should be started with a yearly history submitted to national headquarters so that a complete history of the post will always be in the national library. This is the first chapter of the second forty years.
I wish to thank the Nashua Telegraph for their pictures and the generous publicity which made the keeping of this history a much better record."
David P. Stevens was Post 3 Historian from 1921 to 1958.
