" A World War II Navy veteran, Anthony Charles Lindsay (pictured), was elected commander of James E. Coffey post, No. 3, American Legion, at the group's monthly meeting last evening. He will succeed Commander S. Robert Winer to office.

Another highlights of the well attended session was the election of delegates and alternates to the annual state department convention to be held in Claremont, June 20, 21 and 22.

Officers for 1952-1953 elected were as follows:

Commander: Anthony Charles Lindsay.
Senior Vice Commander: Andre V. Dion.
Junior Vice Commander: Atty. Stanley C. Urban.
Adjutant: Miss Mary H. Sullivan.
Finance Officer: Everett H. Swett.
Treasurer: Edgar E. Lemire.

Trustee: Atty S. Robert Winer.

"The post will be well represented at the state convention. In addition to being allowed 11 delegates and alternates, the post has three past state department commanders, William Johnson, Joseph W. Brown and Earl Mellon who go automatically and also Paul A. Morn who will attend as senior vice commander of District No. 2.

Delegates elected were Commander Winer, Mayor Lestor H. Burnham and former Mayor Hugh Gregg, Past Commander Constantine N. Caros, Miss Mary H. Sullivan, Mr. Dion, Atty. Urban, Atty. French, Mr. Massie and John D. Stylianos.
