"Edgar R. Caron (pictured) and Mrs. Jeannette Bastille were installed commander and president, respectively, of James e. Coffey post No. 3, American Legion and its auxiliary last night at the Legion home.

The joint installation was well attended with many representatives of local and visiting veterans organizations and their guests present.

Dennis W. Drumm, outgoing commander of the Coffey post, welcomed the large gathering and in a brief talk, commended the cooperation he received from fellow members in the past year...
The installation of the post officers was in charge of Maurice Levesque of Hudson post 48, District No. 2 commander and his staff.

Commander-elect Caron told the gathering he hoped the post would continue to show courage and strength in the forthcoming year as it had in the past year, one of the most successful since the Post was activated after World War I...

Leo Carle and his orchestra provided the music for the installation ceremonies and for the dancing which followed....
