"Adelard Bastille (pictured) was elected commander of the James E. Coffey post, American Legion, at the annual meeting held last evening at the Legion home.
At the business session members accepted an invitation to attend the thanksgiving mass on Columbus day under auspices of the Knights of Columbus and they also accepted an invitation from Dr. Edward H. Brewster to attend divine workshop at the Main St. Methodist church Armistice day.
Other officers elected to serve with Commander Bastille during the coming year included:
Commander: Adelard Bastille.
Senior Vice Commander: Earl F. Young.
Junior Vice Commander: John P. Nash
Finance Officer: Everett H. Swett
Treasurer: Edgar Lemire.
Chaplain: Albert Tyler.
Historian: David P. Stevens.
Trustee: Albert G. Coffey.
Trust Officer: George M. French.
Sergeant At Arms: Arthur O'Neil.
Executive Committee: Lewis Prince, Dennis Drumm and William Joyce."

"During the evening Earl Williams reported on details for the annual Armistice day program to be featured by dedication of the honor roll. Terrance Cullen, band chairman, announced that rehearsals would start Monday and be held each Monday evening and District Commander Arthur Johnson announced installation dates and said that he would install the Coffey post officers Oct. 11."
