
The 24th annual Department Convention of the American Legion of New Hampshire, was held in Nashua June 11, 12, 13, and 14, 1942.
The convention sessions were largely attended and Department Commander William J. Johnson (pictured), of Coffey Post Nashua, presided. Mr. Johnson would later serve as National Convention Committeeman from New Hampshire.
National Commander Lynn U. Stambaugh was present at the Convention and was guest speaker at the Convention banquet. Mrs. Marie Hawthorne, National Vice President of the Auxiliary was also a guest at convention sessions. Myron S. Walch of Nashua, state chairman of Sons of Legion, had charge of the 4th annual convention of the Sons of Legion.
