William J. Johnson (pictured) was elected commander of the James E. Coffey Post, American Legion last evening at one of the largest attended business sessions held in some years. Commander Johnson was unopposed. In the only contest of the evening, Dennis J. Nash defeated Joseph W. Brown for Vice Commander. A committee has been named by the incoming Commander to make arrangements for installation at a later date this month.

Vice Commander: Dennis J. Nash.
Adjutant: Myron S. Walch.
Finance Officer: William T. Mulligan.
Chaplain: Rev. Pierre C. Gamache.
Historian: Elwyn C. Hopkins.
Sergeant At Arms: Arthur O'Neil.
Trust Officer: George M. French.
Trustee: Florian Christy.
Executive Committee: Eliot A. Carter, Arthur S. Johnson, Everett H. Swett.
