Freedom Post 72 over the Holiday season 2105 raised $550.00 and donated it to the Giving Closet, for our local School District 6 homeless kids. This money will be doubled by the Guidance Counselors..and used for simple items that range from hygiene products to a gym bag with a sleeping bag. Our high and jr high has approx. 85 plus homeless students at the moment. Our hope is that some of these kids plan on realizing that even old vets care and maybe sowing the seeds for a future that includes military service.
