Every August sometime is the Madison County Fair. We are asked to play the national anthem each morning at the rodeo grounds and to open and close the fair with flag ceremonies. Also, during the fair we lead the parade with our honor guard, sometimes in military uniform and other times in Legion honor guard uniform. We also have a horse drawn wagon Veterans float in the parade. This year we started bringing Veterans into the rodeo stadium, during the fair, in the wagon to be recognized for their service.
