Mamus Ogolor from Staley High School was representing the Third District and Gladstone’s Post 626 at the Department contest and came in second at the eighty-seventh annual State contest at Ashland Missouri and secured a $2,500 scholarship. There will not be a National contest this year due to COVID-19 concerns, and because of that the National Organization gave $5,000 to every Department to award to the winners instead of the usual $2,500, allowing the Departments to increase the winnings for other students as well.
