Several Post 626 members and family participated in 100 Miles for Hope to raise money for the Veterans and Childrens Foundation. The foundation serves two primary functions. It provides critical grants for military and veteran parents in unexpected financial crises, and support for service officers in their tireless efforts to obtain care, benefits and opportunities for disabled veterans and families. The American Legion's 3,000 accredited service officers provide free assistance for any veteran in need.
