The 2021 Veterans Day program, held at the North Mercer R-3 School, honoured Vietnam veterans. This program was performed as part of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. Each Vietnam veteran in attendance was recognised individually and given two pins, a sticker, and a commemorative reading honouring their service during the Vietnam War. There were several widows of Vietnam veterans in attendance and they also received recognition on behalf of their husbands. Some pins were also given to attendees who requested them for relatives who could not attend. The program, as always, recognised all other veterans in attendance and included patriotic music performed by students, student-made projects with a patriotic/veteran theme, and a lunch served after the program. There were two other events held during the week in honor of veterans. A flag retirement ceremony was held by the Mercer American Legion Auxiliary and a demonstration of how funeral honors are rendered was performed by the Princeton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
