Rolla Dicks Post 315 received its charter on October 1, 1920. The first meeting was held in the director's room of the Northwestern Bank in Burlington Junction, Missouri with 19 World War I veterans in attendance.

The Post was named in memory of Rolla Dicks of Burlington Junction who was killed in action on December 14, 1918, the first veteran of World War I killed in action from Burlington Junction.
