McALLISTER and ENDT - Make Post 42 Mississippi Legion History

Robert Endt. was Post 42 Commander two times, Adjutant and Finance officer for many years and District Nine Vice Commander two times , District Nine Commander three times and Southern Area Vice Commander and Chef De Gare, Passe Grande Mississippi 40/8 before being elected as Department Commander of Mississippi.

Two members from Emile Ladnier American Legion Post 42 & Auxiliary Unit 42, Ocean Springs, hold top positions in the Mississippi American Legion at the same time. This is a first for Ocean Springs and we congratulate them.

Anita McAllister of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 42, Ocean Springs, MS. was elected President of the Department of Mississippi Auxiliary at their Natchez Convention meeting in July. American Legion Post 42 member Robert Endt was elected Department Commander of the Mississippi American Legion as well at the Natchez Convention. Both have served the American Legion for many years.

McAllister comes from a family deeply devoted to the cause of the American Legion. Her husband Ivan served as Commander of Post 42 several times , Chaplain and Vice Commander. He was District Nine Commander for 2 years and is currently Department Historian. Anita has served as Vice President, Secretary, and President of Unit 42. She served as Department 2nd and 1st Vice President before being elected Department President of the American Legion Auxiliary for 2015-2016 , State of Mississippi.

Robert Endt is a loyal member of Post 42 serving American Legion throughout Mississippi. This past year Endt traveled to Washington DC to meet with congressional members to promote American Legion concerns to Mississippi congressman and representatives. His wife Barbara Endt has served as Secretary ,Treasurer and Sgt-at-Arms of the Ladies Auxiliary Unit 42 and their son and son-in-laws are members of the recently chartered Sons of the American Legion Squadron 42.

Both Anita McAllister and Robert Endt bring years of experience to the table in promoting patriotism and serving veterans in Mississippi. Post 42 of Ocean Springs, MS. is very proud of their accomplishments in bringing concerns of veterans to the highest level to members of the U.S. Congress.
