American Legion Post 501 & VFW Post 9024 hosted a Memorial Day Service this morning at the Woodbury Veterans Memorial. It was perfect weather to commemorate this special occasion. The Woodbury High School Air Force JROTC, Patriotic Heritage Allegiant Honor Guard, and Scouts BSA Troop 559 did an outstanding job in posting colors during the ceremony. Woodbury Major Anne Burt made the opening remarks and BG Charles Kemper, 34th “Red Bull” Infantry Division of the Minnesota National Guard was the keynote speaker. We also had the First Regiment of Minnesota Volunteer Infantry did the last roll call. Overall it was an outstanding program.
