Woodbury American Legion Post 501 supports Local Community Organizations
Supporting local community is one of the goals of the American Legion. In support of that goal, Woodbury American Legion Post 501 presented a check for $702 to the Christian Cupboard Emergency Foodshelf (CCEFS) on January 7, 2019. The funds were raised during the annual Wall of Thanks Charity Drive held from 24 November to 23 December. The annual event is held to honor Veterans and current military members by placing their names on a Wall of Thanks at the Valley Creek Mall. The post recognized approximately 560 Veterans and military members during this year’s event and collected over $2,800 which will be split between several local groups including CCEFS, the Armed Forces Services Center at the airport, the Hastings Veterans Home, and the Veterans Campground on Big Marine Lake.
