On November 20, 2018, Jon and Marti Beltz donated memorabilia collected by Jon’s father Robert Beltz who served during the Korean War in the United States Navy.  Robert served aboard the USS Plumas County (LST-1083) as a Storekeeper Third class (SK3).  In this position, Robert was responsible for maintaining the ship’s supply stores, purchasing, buying and issuing equipment, tools and repair parts

The donated memorabilia was presented to Woodbury VFW Post 9024 and Woodbury American Legion Post 501 at the Woodbury Central Park. This memorabilia will be provided to the Patriotic Heritage Honor Guard and will be displayed with other memorabilia during the annual Memorial Day event.

Additionally, the Beltz family was presented with a paver to honor Robert’s service to our country.  This paver will be displayed at the Woodbury Veterans Memorial.
