Following the Woodbury High School Veterans Day ceremony on November 8, 2018, Woodbury American Legion Post 501 Vice Commander Dale Johnson presented a check for $1000 to Major (retired) Thom Petzold, Senior Aerospace Science Instructor for the AFJROTC program.  Major Petzold and MSgt Kathy Cotto, JROTC instructor were presented Pavers for the Woodbury Veterans Memorial by Woodbury American Legion Post 501 Commander Tom Grezek and VFW Post 9024, Commander Tom Lindahl. 

 

The Woodbury AFJROTC program has been in existence for over 25 years.  The program gives students lessons in the value of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility, and teaches subjects designed to prepare young men and women for their future endeavors.  The Woodbury AFJROTC program currently has about 80 cadets. 

 

The AFJROTC program is one of many programs Woodbury American Legion Post 501 supports in the city of Woodbury.
