On January 23, 2015, contestants from Bloomingdale, and Grand Haven, MI came to Hastings to present their skills as speakers in the District 2 Oratorical Contest. District Oratorical Contest chairman Dr. James Atkinson led Kaylee Tegethoff, Geoffrey Gabala and Lacie Piekarski through their prepared presentations relating to the constitution before assigning a short talk on one of the articles of the Bill of Rights.
