With flags flying and a big drum roll the traveling Armed Forces Day Parade for western and central Michigan will march down Main Street at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Sponsored by the Carson City American Legion Post #380, the parade will feature marching servicemen and women. Parade organizer Mike Schnepp says there should be hundreds on hand for the day's activities. Special ceremonies will follow the parade at the Legion Post, 120 W. Mercantile St., beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Retired Co., Gary Copp, who served tour tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot, will be the guest speaker.
