Carson City Man, Active in Civic Affairs, Dies

Funeral services will be held for Frank E. Tabor, 66, longtime community leader and businessman, at 10 am Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carson City. He died of a heart attack at this home late Friday night.

He was city supervisor and controller at the time of his death. He also was a former village president, councilman, a past commander of the American Legion post, and a member of the fire department for 20 years.

Mr. Tabor was a gasoline distributor here for 35 years.

He is survived by the widow, Louis; four sons, Lawrence of Lansing; Edgar, James, and Charles, all of Carson City; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Griffin, Balboa Island, Cal., and Susan, at home; three brothers, Fred of Lansing; Charles of Pewamo, and Henry of Hubbardston, and 16 grandchildren.

Members of Carson City Post 380 will conduct military rites at the graveside in Maryknoll cemetery.

The body is at the Burns funeral home, Carson City.
