Mothers, Wives, Sisters of Soldiers Urged to Attend
At a special meeting of the American Legion last week it was decided that organization needed the co-operation of loyal women. The members of the American Legion want to work hand in hand in peace times with the same women, who, during the dark days of the war, prayed and sacrificed much for them. Many civil and social problems confront the nation today. Their solution will be simplified if the American Legion, which fosters the cream of American manhood, and their mothers, wives and sisters, who suffered much for America, will work together.
The local post has received the application blanks for charter which must be signed by at least fifteen women. The Legion will hold its next regular meeting Thursday evening, February 19. All women eligible to membership in the Auxiliary are invited to attend this meeting regardless of the fact whether their son, husband, or brother is a Legion member or not.
