Three members of Frank Wendland post 253, American Legion, received citations at the Legion's birthday celebration. The citations were in recognition of the honor the three men brought to the post when they were chosen consecutively as outstanding citizens by the Royal Oak chamber of commerce. The chamber of commerce has named an outstanding citizen of the year for three years, at its annual meeting. Each time, the winner has been a member of Frank Wendland post.
