Roy E. Goodwill, was elected commander of the Frank Wendland post, No. 253, American Legion, Thursday night at the annual meeting in the American Legion hall in Royal Oak. Goodwill who was senior vice commander last year, succeeds Samuel W. Baldwin, as commander. Other officers named are Roy S. May, senior vice commander; J.H. Benedict, junior vice commander; Hessel W. Tenhave, adjutant; Raymond Weber, finance officer; Edward A. Colden, sergeant-at-arms; George Stoner, chaplain; and W.V. McClure, historian.
