New Officers Installed For American Legion Post 64, Residents Asked to Support Our Military

..........MIDDLEBORO GAZETTE:- Simeon L. Nickerson Post 64 of the American Legion installed new officers for 1990-91 year during a joint installation at the VFW Hall in John Glass Square last week.

........Installed by District Commander Robert J. Martin and Auxiliary District Director Helen Montrond were the following:

........ Post 64: Commander Clifford Hall, Senior Vice Commander John Santin, Junior Vice Commander Richard Bagdasarian, Adjutant David Anmahian, Chaplain John Gilfoy, Historian Robert Scholfield, Sergeant at Arms, Robert Whitaker and Finance Officer George Sarkes.

........ Unit 64: President Charlott Selzer, Senior Vice President Margery Tower, Junior Vice President Joaninen Baker, Secretary Madeline Fairbanks, Chaplain Emily Barone, Historian Judith Hall, Sergeant at Arms Judy Swartz and Treasurer Myrtle Broadbent.

........ Commander Hall passed out red,white and blue ribbons to all attendees and asked that they wear them to show support for the american men and women serving in Saudi Arabia. The ribbon will show that the wearer wishes our servicemen and women a safe and speedy return.

........ Families, who have a member serving in Saudi Arabia, are asked to contact Commander Hall or any member of the Post with a photograph, which will be displayed at the hall on South Main Street.

........ "Middleboro and Lakeville residents are serving overseas and those men and women deserve our support and best wishes," Hall said.
