……………………………NICKERSON NEWS : - The monthly edition of Nickerson News highlighted the planned

concert to be staged by member Jerry Shaw. The Post will sponsor the event, which is

entitled “Touch of Brass.” Jerry and three of his talented musician friends will stage the

program.

……….Tickets for the program, which will be held at the Wayne Caron Auditorium in Middleboro

High school on April 13 at 7:30 p.m., will cost only $2.00 each. An ad book will be produced

and all members are asked to promote the show by selling ads. Information concerning ad prices

is available on the table in the Executive room.

……..This will be the second year for the concert, which was enjoyed by many last year.

……..Next meeting will be on Thursday, March 2 at 8 p. m. Millie Delfino will put on an Italian

Spaghetti meal for members starting at 7 p.m.

……..The Tenth District Get Together will be held at the Hanover Legion Post on King Street.

Cocktail Hour at 6:30-7:30. Dinner of roast beef family style to be served at 7:30 with

dancing to follow. Tickets are $10.00 per person and may be obtained from John and Connie

Gilfoy.

………A Detachment Commanders Testimonial to be held on May 1 in honor of John Gilfoy. It will be

held in the V. F. W. Hall in Middleboro. A dinner will be served by our Post members headed by

Millie Delfino. Tickets for this event are $5.00 per person.

…Besides serving as Sons of Legion Detachment Commander, John also is very active in Post

activities. He is Post Adjutant, District Junior Vice Commander, District Boys State Chairman,

National Executive Committeeman for the Sons of the Legion and word is that he may soon be

selected to one of the National Committees.

Nottage, senior vice-commander; Paul Rebel, junior vice-commander; Harold Tower, Jr., finance

officer; Joh Gilfoy, Jr., adjutant; Clifton Corey, chaplain; Robert Schofield, historian and
