Middleboro Gazette: - Donna Noyes, Ravie Gokhale and Peter Wilbur were chosen representatives of 1978 Boys and irls State, Middleboro High School announced this week.

The three were chosen by the entire MHS faculty from nominations submited by the History Department.

Girls State is sponsored by the Simeon L. Nickerson Post 64 of the Middleboro American Legion Auxiliary. It will be held at Bridgewater State College in June.

Boys State is sponsored by the Middleboro American Legion and will be held in June at Assumption College in Worcester.

Miss Noyes is the daughter of Mrs. Bette Noyes. She is on the yearbook staff, is secretary to the Student Council, a member of the Medics Club, and takes part in spring track. She plans to major in physical therapy in college.

Gokhale is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vasant V. Gokhale. He is ivolved in varsity tennis and socce and is a member of the Chess Club and the Junior Class Council. He plans to attend a college of engineering.

Wilbur, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wilbur, has been active in musical activities at the school. He participates in both stage band and brass choir. He plans to enter collge after graduation. ( Posted by Bob Lessard Post Historian 2014)
