POST 64 TO HOLD PUBLIC INSTALLATION FOR OFFICERS; FRANKLIN G. HARLOW TO BE COMMANDER

   Legion To Install Officers

.........................................................MIDDLEBORO GAZETTE:- The Simeon L. Nickerson Post 64 American Legion will conduct a public installation of officers Friday evening September 23 at the local town hall, officials of the post announced earlier this week.

.........Heading the list of officers scheduled to be installed is Franklin G. Harlow, retiring Post adjutant, who was recently named to succeed Vincent J. Robidoux as Post Commander. Vice-Commanders slated to be installed include John D. Rockwell, Jr., Armand P. Mello and Reginald W. Walker.

...........Other officers who will be formally inducted at the affair include Edward L. Shaw, finance officer; Preston H. Richmond, historian; Maynard E. Hall, chaplain; Wilmoth G. Waterman, sergeant–at-arms; Vincent J. Robidoux, assistant service officer; Horace K. Atkins, Americanization officer; Fletcher Clark, Jr., judge advocate; Roger V. Anderson, graves registration officer; and John W. Scanlon, athletic officer.

...........Committees scheduled to be installed include Franks A. Harris, Everett L. Caswell, Fred M, Wright, Lawrence A. Olson, Arthur S. Hall and William L. Bernier of the house entertainment committee; Vincent J. Robidoux of the scholarship committee and Lawrence A. Olson, Clifton A. McCrillis and William J. Begley of the executive committee.
