November 2, 1936: - ***** Twenty-seven members and two guests were present at 8:05 when Commander Snow opened the meeting. Membership cards were inspected. Chaplain Reginal Drake invoked Divine Blessing. Last meeting minutes read and approved. The Rev. Mr. Rosback of the Unitarian Society of Massachusetts was introduced. He gave an interesting talk on his trip to Scotland. He was given a vote of thanks for his very pleasant talk. Willard Baxter, District 10 Vice Commander of Wareham Post 220, gave a very interesting talk on membership. Voted that we entertain Wareham Post 220 on November 4th, after drum corps rehearsal. F.O. Thomas read the financial report of Oct. 28 showing a balance of $163.91. A balance of .51 due on pool repairs was voted to be paid. P.C. Dr. Hall gave a report on the installation of officers with $49.57 spent. Report was not complete as all bills were not in. Report declared progressive. At request of Dr. Hall, a motion was made and seconded, that the Plymouth 40 & 8 have the use of the Legion Hall, November 28 for installation of officers. So voted. It was voted that we accept the resignation of the recently hired janitor. A new janitor was elected by Australian ballot. Warren Rogers was elected janitor.

December 7, 1936:- ***** Regular monthly meeting of Simeon L. Nickerson Post #64 with 21 attending. Balance of $306.78 in fund reported Finance Officer. All bills against the Post were read and referred to the financial committee. Voted to pay $3.00 for cleaning basketball suits. Comrade Saunders gave a final report on Poppy Day. Receipts shown $102.10 showing a profit of $67.10. Voted to give the Auxiliary 50% of the net profit of poppy sale. Voted that an article be inserted in the Town Warrant asking for $250.00 to help pay the Armistice Day celebration. Voted that $25.00 be appropriated out of the Welfare fund, $14.00 for the Xmas party and $11.00 for Welfare work. The show committee reported a profit to date of $174.00. Voted that $150.00 be taken from the show committee and carried on the books in the Welfare Fund. Comrade Saunders gave a final report on the Armistice Day dance showing a profit of $24.60. It was voted that a carnival be held the last week of June. V.C. Cole was appointed Chairman and may appoint his committee. The sum of $75.00 be set aside for the use of the Memorial association upon their written request. The janitor will have a key to the flag closet to store his supplies in safety. The janitor was given permission to open a canteen in the club room. Voted that the House Committee Chairman fix the lock on the door of the hall so it cannot be opened with a knife. Voted that the Post sponsor an oratorical contest.
