Brief History of the Post

Apr 1922

The Post was founded on April 26, 1922. Sixteen men signed the application to establish the Post, and there were 77 charter members. The Post maintained a meeting hall and an active schedule of service and social activities through the 1950s. Financial constraints in the 1960s led to the sale of the meeting hall in 1972. Subsequently the Legion Post entered into a collaboration with the Veterans of Foreign Wars and shared the operating costs..
