1960 found the original Post Colors being retired and the owner of the Emerald Tavern, where Post meetings were held for many years, being awarded an Honorary membership to the Post for all the help he gave in the initial growth of our organization. Athletic teams continued to grow and win championships. In 1961 the 1st Flag disposal ceremony was held and construction of a second level to the Post Home had begun. In 1962 a new Preamble, donated by Auxiliary Unit 183, was dedicated. 1963 found Post member Charles Michael being appointed to the National Staff and Post member Laird Roeder as Alt. National Executive Committeeman. The 1st Blood Drive was held in 1964 along with the formation of a choral group, later to be known as the "Balladiers". In 1965 the Post celebrated its 20th anniversary, voting machines were used for the first time at Post elections, "Paid Up" mortgage papers were burned and the Post Honor guard was formed.

1966-1969 found expansion and renovations of the Post Home and parking lot and other major upgrades to the facility. Numerous members were elected to various positions within the Department, District and County levels and all programs were still going strong.
