The party for Millie Bailey’s 100th Birthday at Mission BBQ on Tuesday January 30th was a huge success!  As planned, Millie was very surprised.   Besides a great turn out by our Post membership, present were:  LT Governor Boyd Rutherford and Howard County (HoCo) Executive Alan Kittleman – each of whom has known Millie for over 20 years and provided excellent summaries of what other things Millie has done for her Howard County community.  Others present included the Deputy Secretary for the Maryland Department of the VA Bob Finn and Mission Barbecue co-owner Bill Krause.   Our service officer, Wanda summarized Millie’s career in the Women’s Army Corp and her life in Howard County for the Mission BBQ crowd in excellent fashion.
