Jessie W. Moore: 1977- 1987
This administration was on of the best. Commander Moore was a builder by trade. He added rooms and remodeled the building and improved the parking lot.

Commander Haynes served on year at this time.
Sylvester George: 1988-1992
Under this administration membership grew to more than 500 Legionnaires. This administration was successful at maintaining the Post's programs.
Woody Staten: 1992-1994
This administration faced success and maintained all programs to capacity. The staff guided Post to newer heights and it flourished throughout the State
Alfred Herbert: 1994-1995
This administration held firm to the ideals of the American Legion. During this administration membership grew to an all time high making this post the largest Black Post in this State. Commander Herbert passed in June 1999.
Woody Staten: 1995-1997
During this administration the V.A. Clinic of Monroe, Louisiana opened and was fully supported by this Post. Adjutant Otis Page was a member of the Board at this Clinic. This administration was very active in the District.
Sylvester George: 1997-1999
This administration was consistent in it's commitment to the American Legion. The American Legion programs were top notch.
Woody Staten: 1999-2004
This administration met all of it's obligations, renovated the building, worked well with area schools and meshed greatly with the American Legion of Louisiana's Fifth (5th) District.
AL SANDERS: 2004 - 2004
Comrade AI Sanders resigned after five(5) months of duty.
2004-2005
Members of the Executive Board and Finance Board kept the post focused on it's American Legion
values. "Old Glory" flew proudly at this Post.
WOODY STATEN: 2004 - 2006
This administration and it's members practiced awareness and improved themselves by meeting early
retention goals.
FREDDIE DOWNS: 2006-
This administration completed several Post objectives including the painting of the exterior, remodeling
the interior and the rebuilding of the floors in over 50% of the building. The estimated cost of these
projects well exceeded $70,000.00. Training awareness became the focus of this Staff. This group of
Legionnaires were relentless in improving all facets of American Legion values.
