Ernest Milton Henry, Sr., affectionately referred to as “Tater”, was born (October 8, 1938) into the lovely union of the late Clinton Sr. (WWII Veteran) and Pearl Henry. He was a brother to five sisters, Pearl L.H. King, Aline H. Aples, Patricia (John) Citizen, Alice H. Harris and the late Shirley Henry; three brothers, the late Clinton Jr., Horace Sr., and Albert Henry; and one brother in law, William Robinson.

Charter Members of Post 438 receive Temporary Charter from the Louisiana Department of the American Legion on January 18, 2018. Louisiana Department Commander Rodney Holliday presents it to Post Commander Edwin R. Wilson, Kevin Henderson, and Darwin H. Walker.
Our first fundraiser was a Mother's Day Brunch held at CCs Coffee House, 2800 Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70119. We raffled off a gift basket and made $400.00 toward the 100 Years Centennial Float we will be sponsoring in the Elks truck parade on Mardi Gras Day.
We volunteered to work the Special Olympics State Games on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Southeastern University Campus, Hammond, LA from 7:30 am till approximately 3:00 pm. Our responsibility was the staging area, softball throw, javelin event, and the awards venue. We all had fun and are looking forward to next year.
