During the 2021 American Legion Department of Louisiana (State-level) Convention held in Alexandria from June 17-20, Department Commander Byron Comeaux (right), Department Vice Commander A. J. Jones (left), and National Security Commission Chairman Johnny Square (2nd from right) presented the 2019-2020 Department of Louisiana Firefighter of the Year Award to Coty Courville (2nd from left) from the Jennings Fire Department. Courville was nominated for the Award by Post 19 from Jennings and by the Department of Louisiana 7th District. The Department of Louisiana did not have a State Convention last year because of the COVID pandemic, so this award from last year was presented at this year’s state convention.
