On January 8, 2013, Post 19 donated money to Jennings American Legion Hospital (JALH) to fund a barbecue for hospital employees in order to show appreciation for the efforts of the hospital staff, physicians, volunteers and contract service personnel.

The Post made another donation in the Spring of 2015 to fund a barbecue for the JALH staff.
