Library workers researched Lansing's World War I veterans and put together a program to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, Nov. 11, 1918. For the presentation, short bios of more than 170 veterans, photographs and other images were gathered into a binder and the five large poster boards shown here were created. The program was held Veterans Day 2018 at Meehan Memorial Lansing Public Library, During a program at Lansing High School that day, students read from some of the letters that Lansing's WWI soldiers sent home from training camps and from battlefields in France.
