Post 243 along with the Winebrenner Post of Ligonier, Veterans of Foreign Wars, will have charge of the program next Sunday Afternoon at the High School Auditorium, where the Purple Heart and Silver Star, honorary medal for distinguished service during the World War, will be presented to five Ligonier young men, the presentation to be made by the Honorable Chas. Michaels, State Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Those who will receive the medals are: James Musser, Clarence Brundage, Byron Grubb, Vassa LeCount, and Willis Bickle.
A parade by the war veterans will be a feature of the day and will start from the G.A.R. hall at 1:30 P.M..
Following is the program to be given at the school auditorium starting at 2 o' clock Sunday afternoon: "America" Music by the Cromwell High School Band. Invocation by Chaplin Loveless, Short talk by District Commander Marshall, Solo, "Father of the Land we love" by Miss Lantz, Remarks by Mrs. J.W. Denny, Daughters of the American Revolution, Remarks by John H. Hoffman, G.A.R., Remarks by Commander Robbins, Spanish War Veterans, Short talk by Dr. M. Blue, Commander of American Legion Post 243,
