As of this date, April 9, 1957, this historian has been unable to find any detailed records for the 1947-48 Legion year. Since I was Past Commander in 1948 I know the year was successful because the Post is still alive and doing very well. There was a nation wide paper shortage during this time which may have had something to do with no records. (words from Historian Tom Lanagan)
Here in 2017 I have the same issues with 1948. In the Post archives I found nothing for 1948. It seems the Post finances went down the tubes a little as we will find out in 1949. (Historian David Wisbrock).
