Past Commander Robert J. Lammie was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 8, 1945, (V.E. Day)! He began his military career as an Air Force ROTC cadet at Penn State. He served 6 years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era in the chemical corps.
Upon leaving the service he worked at Ampacet Corporation for 41 years retiring as V.P. of Sales April 30, 2014. He currently serves in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He loves the water and is an avid yachtsman and belongs to 3 Yacht Clubs.
Dick served as Post 43's 69th Commander, 1990-1992 After he left Naperville he moved to Connecticut where he transferred to Post 3. When he retired he moved to Cape Coral, Florida and transferred to the Post there.
