Boy Scout Troop 106

Boy Scout Troop 106 was chartered October 1, 1961 and has been sponsored by American Legion Post #43 of Naperville since 1989. Troop 106 has a proud and strong history of nurturing young men in our community to reach their full potential. They maintain an intimate roster in order to afford our Scouts numerous opportunities to learn leadership and involvement in decision making that will serve them well throughout their lives.

Since it was chartered in 1961, 65 scouts (including 42 since being sponsored by Post 43 in 1989) have been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in Boy Scouts. The title of Eagle Scout is held for life, thus giving rise to the phrase "Once an Eagle, always an Eagle".

Their contribution to the community and to the local veterans is invaluable. Among other things they annually assist at placing 2000 flags on veterans’ graves prior to Memorial Day.
