Theodore (Ted) F. Boecker Jr.served in France during World War I in the 79th Division of the U.S. Field Artillery. He became the 26th Commander of Post 43 1945-1946.

Ted was in the family business called Boecker Coal and Grain Company that was started by his
grandfather in 1868. Boecker Coal and Grain served the local farmers and citizens of the Naperville area for over 100 years.

Ted was a founding member of the Naperville Country Club and continued participation for another 57 years. Through the formation of the club, Ted donated the use of his horses and equipment to aid in the construction of the fairways. He would hold several offices in his 57 years,including Club President in 1940.
