In June 2011, the American Legion Post 280 and Auxiliary Unit 280 undertook a project at Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery. Together they raised money to purchase American Flags which were to line the road entering the cemetery and the circle in the middle of the cemetery. The community came together to insure this project would be completed and on November 11, 2011, 150 American Flags were dedicated to the thousands of Veterans buried in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery. Thanks to the determination of American Legion Auxiliary President, Freda Broadway.
