BODY OF STANLEY McCOLLUM TO LEAVE NEW YOUR TODAY

S.D.McCollum received a telegram yesterday stating that the remains of his son, Bat. Sgt. Maj. Lawrence Stanley McCollum would leave New York City at 10:30 this morning and would arrive in Benton over the E & EI. It is not known positively when the body will reach Benton but the parents and his friends are sure that it will be here in time for funeral services Sunday afternoon at which time Rev. J. L. Meads will officiate. All members of the American Legion are to meet at the Legion Hall Saturday night for a meeting for arrangements. A full attendance is desired.
