On August 10, 2026 the American Legion Post and Unit 515, with support from Wal-Mart Transportation, South Georgia Business Supplies, and the Law Office of Sarah Harrell LLC (Atlanta,GA law firm), hosted a Community Back to School Supply Giveaway from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. It was first come, first served; the General Public was invited. There were supplies to all grade levels. Hotdogs, chips, tea, lemonade, and water were served for free.
At least 50 children attended this event with their parents per grade level. This event was successful because of the partnership we have within our community.
