Also during this year, the all-male membership changed with the membership of Margaret B. Hicks in October, 1992, then Lynne S. Rollins in January 1993. Rollins became the first female officer in 1994, the first female to receive Legionnaire of the Year in 1997 and the first female to serve as a Department of Georgia officer in 1197 when she was appointed as Department Historian.
