Post 337 provides the patients on Community Living Center Ward 3C at the Uptown Division of the Charlie Norwood VAMC with a monthly Birthday Party. Patients who have birthdays during the month are given a signed Birthday Card and are serenaded with Happy Birthday. All patients are provided with either cake or cupcakes and ice cream. The patients look forward to our visit each month just we enjoy visiting with them. This event was initiated by the 337 ALR in early 2016 and continues today.
Post 337 also brings magazines, books, puzzles, toiletries, socks and other items each month. The staff on 3C gets first choice of the items, while the remaining items are taken to Voluntary Services for distribution elsewhere in the hospital.
