The Centennial Committee Team 100 of Horace Orr Post 29 will host a Remembrance Ceremony at the grave of our namesake Sgt. William Horace Orr. Orr was the first person from Marietta killed in WWI. He was killed in action October 14, 1918 while leading a charge on a machine gun nest in the Battle of Argonne Forest in France.
Our POW/MIA Honor Guard will be on hand to participate in the ceremony at Mard Hill Cemetery in Acworth on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
